Gardens are so giving when it comes to colour, fragrance and imagery, but most of all, it’s the uplifting experience of gardens and the joy of flowers and nature that I aim to capture in my art. Wandering through a meadow as the grasses brush against your legs is a totally different experience to the abundance and drama of walled gardens, whilst vegetable gardens offer orderly, regimented rows of plants growing from tiny seedlings to the drama of ‘fully grown’ and eventually the beauty of seed heads.
