Course Outline
Jan Park is an established artist with a career in lecturing and mentoring. Jan is skilled at helping artists find their unique direction and where their individual strengths lie. This course is not technique based, but rather geared to assessing where artists currently are in their practice, and finding the best way to further develop their own style, whilst drawing and painting in and around the beautiful location of Polperro.
Techniques will be taught where appropriate to assist each individuals progress and to build on existing skills. Course sessions consist of a combination of group tuition and guidance coupled with individual ‘one to one’ sessions.
The Net Loft
The Net Loft on the National Trust South West coastal path, is the base for this course. Positioned on the cliff top with stunning views out to sea, and pretty harbour and village views of Polperro. This will be your base, workspace and shelter, easy access to the coastal path with spectacular views in all directions. Polperro itself has so much to offer in terms of subject matter, the pretty village, the busy harbour and abundant nature along the coastal paths.
Kit
Please bring your own materials
Each artist will be provided with a table and chair. Artists must bring their own materials.
DO BRING A new sketchbook, notebook, warm/painting clothing, sunscreen/hats, appropriate footwear. A backpack for kit and a plastic bag to sit on when out and about, art materials, whatever you like to work with. Paper/canvas as required.
PLEASE NOTE Access to the Net Loft is off the coastal path down a few steps so this needs to be taken into account. Kit has to be carried from your accommodation so please bear this in mind when deciding what to bring.

The course begins on the 14th September with a welcome reception on the evening of Sunday 13th. (Details to follow with booking confirmation.) and ends on Thursday 17th at 3pm.

Monday - Wednesday 10am - 4pm
Thursday 10am - 3pm
