My fascination with dereliction, peeling paint and rusty metal is fed perfectly by the structures on industrial estates. Travelling by train through old industrial areas give a quick glimpse of the industry that has gone before.

This series was developed as I travelled by train from Shropshire to Birmingham. The images rushed by and yet it was still possible to record enough to give the feeling of the sights and stories within.
