My Work

My work is mainly produced through the medium of paint, although influences of textile design often emerge, creating layers & textures within my painting.

The emphasis of my work is semi abstract, underpinned by a thoughtful narrative and a commitment to the principals of strong design and drawing. Sketch book studies, writing & research out in the field are extensive prior to beginning a body of work. Once my emotional response to the subject and inspiration is clear and I have a story to tell, the works can begin. More often than not I will work in a series enabling me to fully convey the message.

My favoured themes and areas of interest revolve around landscape, architecture and nature, capturing the ever shifting moods and the joyous nature and the emotions of the experience being captured.
